From the Pastor's Pen"
--Pastor Kevin White

The signs of spring are all around us—even though it was a late one—and spring is quickly giving way to summer with rising temperatures, seniors graduating, and schools getting out for the summer! Summer schedules are filling up fast for ball games, picnics, family outings, vacations, camp, VBS, and many other activities! Please take note of the many activities and opportunities we have planned for our church family this summer!

Camp
Our youth are leaving for a Missions Trip to West Virginia, June 2-9. Then the first full week of camp at Pine Haven Christian Assembly is Jr High week June 10-16. Pastor Joe and several of our leaders & youth will be serving during both weeks! After that, it is camp for 11th & 12th graders, June 17-23! Please keep Joe and his team of sponsors and youth in prayer as they take advantage of these opportunities to grow spiritually.
Summer Gatherings

Opportunities this summer, for adults and their families to get together, are with our Summer Gatherings. Being able to utilize the outdoors, we as a church try to get together at our homes for fun and fellowship. Mark & Deb Magnuson have offered to host our first Summer Gathering on Wednesday, June 6, at 7:00 PM at their home (10962 Grand Lake Rd., Cold Spring). The next scheduled Summer Gathering is Friday, June 29, starting at 6:30pm at Jeff & Carrie Bruns’ home (8294 Isaak Ave. NW, Annandale).

If you’re interested in also hosting a Summer Gathering, please contact Shari in the church office.
Father's Day

I want to encourage you to make a special effort to be here for church on Father’s Day--Sunday, June 17. The message will focus on “leaving a legacy;” I’m excited that Ed Goff, along with his son Justin Goff and grandson Camden Edmonson, will be sharing in the sermon that day… representing 3 generations of the Goff family! Family patriarch, Carmon Goff, will share a Communion Meditation and other family members will be serving communion and the offering! It’s going to be a powerful day that you won’t want to miss!

Have a great “Summer in the Son!”

Pastor Kevin

PS Bonnie I will be on vacation June 12-20. (I’m having the Father’s Day Service videotaped so we can see it when we get back! 😊)

Thank You to Our Quilters in Positive Piece Makers
From the Salvation Army
Dear Friends in Christ: Thank you for your gift of 15 twin quilts. They will be used to meet the needs of the people we serve on a daily basis. Last year, our 69-bed shelter provided 21,968 nights of lodging; where one of every four residents is a child. This is just the beginning of the work we are able to accomplish due to friends like you. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of the people we serve.--Sincerely, Mike Parker, Major

From CentraCare Hospice
Positive Piece Makers! What a nice surprise to walk into my office to 3 bags of wonderful lap robes for our hospice patients! You are angels. Thank you for stopping in.--Amy Rausch
